Two graceful shimmering silver bells are tied together with a pastel blue bow and adorned with softly colored green holly and pink berries. Holly is an evergreen plant and in many western cultures it is a traditional Christmas decoration, used especially in wreaths. Many of the various kinds of hollies are highly decorative, and are widely used as ornamental plants in gardens. Holly, because it is an evergreen, can be used to symbolize marriage. The color blue in many cultures is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away. The colors used here would make a holiday wedding lovely because blue and silver are considered to be "cold" colors and therefore would blend in well with Christmas or New Year wedding celebrations.
