Saxophone, Trumpet, and Trombone Illustration in Black and White

These illustrations are of a saxophone, trombone, and trumpet. All three of these musical instruments are wind instruments used in bands and orchestras. In medieval times, trumpet playing was a guarded craft, and instruction occurred only in highly selective guilds. Today, the trumpet is used in nearly all forms of music. It is the trumpet that is used most frequently as an announcement of the beginning, and/or, at the close of an event. Any one or all of these illustrations could be used to inform guests if there will be a live band playing at the reception. All of the instruments shown here are commonly used by bands at wedding receptions.
