Colors are a great place to start planning Las Vegas theme weddings. Whether the ceremony takes place in a church or another venue, plan your wedding colors around Las Vegas. Red, white and black are obvious choices for Las Vegas and weddings, and work very well. The bride would wear a traditional white gown, flowers would be red rose bouquets, and the groom and groomsmen would wear traditional black tuxedos with red handkerchiefs and cummerbunds. Instead of dinner being served individually, go for a Vegas-style buffet meal. You still may decide to use a seating chart and plan guest seating for dinner. Instead of plain place cards, write guests' names on the back of Las Vegas Postcards, and turn them guest-name-forward. When guests turn them around they will be treated to a view of Las Vegas. You also may place a lottery ticket behind each place card as a surprise for each guest. The beauty of Las Vegas theme weddings is that they are never boring!
Bouquets of red and white roses in glass vases, with a black ribbon tied around each vase, are the perfect centerpiece for dinner tables. Surround them with cut-outs of card suits, or confetti in the shape of card suits.
Las Vegas and weddings love entertainment! Hire a live band or DJ to play classics by such performers as Elvis, Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. You may even have impersonators performing as such artists. Cake toppers may take the shape of a pair of dice, Elvis or card-suit figures. At the end of the evening, as your guests are leaving, hand them a set of four dice: made out of chocolate truffles; wrapped in colored cellophane and tied with a ribbon.
