Wedding Tiaras

Incorporate Jewelry Into Your Wedding Hairstyle

wedding tiara
The tiara has long been a mark of distinction; it is a crown worn with pride and noticed by all. Historically, the tiara was worn by kings and emperors, and viewed as symbols that marked status, wealth, and power. Today, tiaras have been incorporated into special occasion dressing; they are hair jewelry of fine distinction and have become a sparkling standard of celebratory dress.

Tiaras have long been associated with the crowning of a beauty pageant winner and her choreographed walk of sparkling victory. Today, however, tiaras are formal occasion wear, and they often adorn the heads of girls celebrating their Sweet 16's, young women dancing at proms, or spectators experiencing a night at the theater. Whether they decorate the heads of Queens, celebrities or young school girls, they have become symbols of celebration and beauty.

Wedding jewelry tiaras crown brides with elegance. They look great on all lengths of hair and complement many different hairstyles. It is recommended that you have your hair in your wedding hairstyle (or a close imitation) when you shop for a tiara. They do look and fit differently depending on hair style; it would be so disappointing to discover that your tiara doesn't look the way you envisioned it would because of a hairstyle change! Bring your tiara with you to the beauty salon if you are having a special up-do or cut on your wedding day. Your hair stylist will ensure that the tiara complements the style you have chosen, in addition to making sure it stays comfortably in place.

Tiaras can be light and simple or wholly elaborate and ornate. Some brides wear their tiaras for the wedding ceremony and then remove them and wear them as neck pieces for the reception! This, or course, is more realistic with a lighter piece of jewelry, as the really heavy tiaras will not feel comfortable worn as a neck piece or choker.

Many tiaras are handcrafted with a variety of precious metals ranging from sterling silver to multi-colored gold (white, yellow, or rose). Tiaras can also be manufactured from lightweight, inexpensive metals and still look exceptionally beautiful. With semi-precious stones, crystals, beads, and pearls, tiaras can be colorful or subdued, modern or antique.

Some women prefer the flexible, lightweight tiaras that almost resemble headbands. The differentiating feature is that the tiaras have a little more dimension, while headbands rest flat against the head. In contrast, tiaras don't have to sit high on the head at all. In fact, some brides and bridal parties use tiaras to gently frame their faces or hairstyles without giving the feeling of height or crown simulation.

Bridal party tiaras create a look of dazzling festivity during the ceremony and reception. Presenting the bridal party with tiara gifts to wear during the wedding and enjoy later on is a lovely way to say thank you to this cherished group of women.

Tiaras are the perfect hair jewelry to add fine distinction to your celebration. They are ideal for weddings, as they crown brides with just a little more sparkle as they proceed through the wonder of their day.
