Bubble Wedding Favors

Give Your Wedding a Sense of Whimsy

pink bubble backdrop
Bubbles seem to posses a magic all their own. They intrigue us from the time we are old enough to focus on their floating iridescence. With a thin film of liquid enveloping a microcosm of air, we see spectrums of breathtaking color, buoyant yet fragile. Perhaps it is their visual splendor, that constant display of dancing color that makes us all stop to stare. Or, perhaps it's the knowledge that they will pop all too quickly, leaving behind only a whimsical memory of spherical perfection.

When one thinks about bubbles and their buoyant beauty, it becomes apparent that they are a wonderful addition to a wedding celebration. Wedding bubbles create a fanciful partying atmosphere. They can transform a plain room into a fairytale. When one bubble meets another, they instantly mingle and form a shared wall. They will spend the rest of their existence as a connected unit, which seems pretty perfect for a wedding theme!

Wedding Bubble Ideas
Wedding bubbles can be present from the start of a wedding, with a gentle release of bubbles during the ceremony, or they can be saved for the reception. Whether you decide to have your guests participate in bubble blowing rituals, or whether you purchase a bubble machine, you are sure to enhance your day with visual wonder. Bubble machines are inexpensive and they can easily run for 5 or 6 hours on a couple of C or D batteries.

If you choose to have bubbles during your ceremony, consider including your guests in the fun. Imagine all of your guests gently blowing bubbles as you state your vows. Or maybe you'd prefer to have just your bridal party involved in the bubble blowing. It would be romantic and dramatic to see this special group of friends and family sending bubbles your way as you are pronounced husband and wife...

Wedding Bubble Favors
Wedding bubble favors are popular and abundant. They can be a festive part of the wedding reception, or they can be distributed as gifts when the party comes to a close. They can be personalized with names and dates, or designed with thank you messages for all the guests. Following is a brief list of some of the available bottle styles for wedding bubble favors:
  • Small, thin tubes of bubbles (presented on a wedding platter)
  • Miniature champagne bottle bubbles
  • Wedding-cake-shaped bubble bottles
  • Heart bubble bottles
  • Champagne flute bubbles
  • Dove bottle bubbles
  • Butterfly bottles
  • Daisy bottles
  • Mini bubble bells
  • Plain white bottles (to either tie with ribbon or decorate creatively)

Decorate Your Reception with Whimsy
Wedding bubbles can also be incorporated into reception decorating ideas. Clusters of clear balloons look like large bubbles and can be filled with helium and attached to chairs and tables, presented in decorative arches, or used as room borders. Bubble machines, placed carefully, will also be perfect for that continuous stream of festivity. It is important, however, not to have too many bubbles where there is dancing or lots of walking, as they can produce a slippery film.

Wedding bubbles will bring aesthetics and levity to every ceremony and reception. As they reflect and refract light waves, we are left with changing hues of color, weightless wonder, and the floating perfection of our celebrations.
