Relax and Pamper Yourself at a Washington Wedding Beauty Spa Amid all the Wedding Planning

Use the Washington Wedding Spas Guide as a helpful resource when planning a relaxing getaway or a luxurious spa day trip.

Feeling pampered from head to toe, knowing you radiate a healthy glow, and giggling with friends are some of the experiences a trip to the spa can give you. And a wedding spa trip is even more special. While you might think a spa is too extravagant, take a moment to reconsider.

There are several types of spas which might work into your wedding plans. Day spas offer packages or à la carte choices. These include facials, pedicures and manicures, special body wraps and skin preparations. Many also offer hair salons and makeovers. This might be the perfect idea for a stressed out bride or as a way to look your best before your big day. While drastic hair color changes or marathon tanning sessions are not recommended, a few tanning sessions to even your skin tone or highlights to brighten your hair will make you feel beautiful. Getting your nails professionally done or having a makeup artist show you a special trick to emphasize your eyes will surely add some glamour. Think about arranging a girls' day out with all your attendants as a special thank you. Massages will relax everyone and that is a feeling you could all use. Or you could have some special bonding time with the groom's mother. Your own mom might like the opportunity to spend some quiet time with you amid all the planning chaos.

There are also destination spas which offer overnight stays and more amenities. Here you will find special meals, soaking pools, exercise facilities and other services. Destination spas are a nice mini-vacation if you are finding the wedding planning a bit overwhelming or you need a chance to reflect and take care of yourself. Packages are available for all budgets. This type of spa trip could be planned shortly before the rehearsal dinner as a way to rejuvenate after all the hectic planning. Watch your timing carefully for these types of trips. You don't want all those cucumber wraps and mud bathes ruined by constant interruptions from vendors wanting final head counts and menu decisions.

You can look for spas in wedding guides, travel brochures and on the internet. Ask other wedding vendors such as your wedding planner, dress store, or photographer for ideas. Bridal magazines are filled with advertisements for spas. Larger cities, such as Seattle and Spokane, have many spa choices. If you are located in Washington's more rural areas, you may have to allow for some travel time. As always, ask for references and check with the Better Business Bureau or local Chamber of Commerce. You want to choose a reputable place where you can relax and not have to worry about sanitation or cleanliness issues. Choose the services which appeal to your soul. These trips are about pampering you, not a test to see if you can endure a painful massage or body scrub.

Wedding spas can offer respite from all the planning stress during this hectic time in your life. A professional can also enhance your natural beauty and make you feel like a queen on your wedding day. Consider a spa as a way to replenish body, mind and soul before you begin the next chapter of your life.
