Oregon Wedding Accomodations

A glimpse of Oregon accommodations for your big day.

If you haven't chosen which Oregon location to hold your wedding yet, perhaps checking into a few of Oregon's historic, grand luxury hotels and inns will give you a glimpse into a town or setting that's just right for you. Whether you're seeking accommodations for your wedding party, guests from out of town, family and friends, or even your honeymoon, Oregon's got some of the best landscapes in the nation to get cozy with.

Historic Inns, Hotels, Resorts and Lodges of Oregon

Locations deemed historic are no stranger to the state of Oregon, including many historic inns, hotels and resorts. On the northern coast of Oregon, overlooking the Pacific Ocean is the pioneer-era Gearhardt Ocean Inn, located an easy twenty miles from Astoria but still tucked far away enough to experience some Oregon serenity. Then there's the stately and historic Campbell House Inn, located in Eugene, which by the way, is also an ideal place for a wedding ceremony and reception, as the house is surrounded by gardens and parks plus they're quite accustomed to holding weddings. Just down the 126 from Eugene you'll find the McKenzie Riverside Cottages, which are a spacious row of quaint forest cottages strategically placed along the McKenzie River. Southern Oregon's Prospect Historic Hotel is a late-1800s stage house found in the city of Prospect, on the way to Oregon's famed Crater Lake. On the eastern side of the state in Baker City, the late-1800s Geiser Grand Hotel is an impressive architectural feat, featuring stained glass ceilings and elegance in all aspects. Nearby in Joseph, the historic Wallowa Lake Lodge gives visitors an authentic taste of Oregon's rustic luxury.

Coastal Accommodations in Oregon

Located along Oregon's extraordinary coast are handfuls of extremely large and impressive beach front inns and hotels, some located along the mighty Columbia River and others facing the Pacific Ocean. A whole line of oceanfront Best Western hotels can be found along Oregon's coast, where you can participate in activities like golfing, shopping and whale-watching. In addition, for your wedding guests that are staying a few weeks or more, there are a slew of great ocean-front vacation homes and condos to reserve temporarily. As an added Oregon coast touch, look into the Dublin House Motel in Yachats, where you and your newlywed can sleep inside a lighthouse suite with an ocean view!

Lodging in the Heart of Oregon

In a city like Portland, you'd expect to find grand hotels like the Benson Hotel, where weddings in their enormous ballrooms are commonplace, but you may not expect to find river-front, downtown hotels like the RiverPlace Hotel along the Willamette River, where their garden courtyards are an ideal wedding location. In nearby Welches, on the way to Mount Hood, the Mount Hood Village Resort offers visitors beautifully furnished forest cabins and vacation cottages beside the Salmon River. If you're already decided on an Oregon wine-country wedding, consider lodging at the Lobenhaus Bed, Breakfast and Winery, where guests can meander almost thirty acres of woods, vineyards, and creek sides. If you're seeking a stay at a rustic resort while attending a southern Oregon wedding, consider staying at the beautifully-landscaped, log-cabin lodge found at the Weasku Inn in Grants Pass.

Central and Eastern Oregon Resorts and Ranches

If you're seeking high desert hideaways to relax at during your wedding festivities, look no further than the luxurious Seventh Mountain Resort, located along the Deschutes River in Bend or the Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Casino located in Oregon's high desert country and featuring its own museum where visitors can learn about the local tribal cultures near Warm Springs. If your wedding theme and location fit the famous cowboy country of Oregon, then check out the roping opportunities at ranches like the Brasada Ranch near Bend, where the views of the Cascade mountains are expansive and the building designs are environmentally sensitive. Also, Wilson Ranches Retreat in Fossil is a fully-functional cattle ranch offering a B&B, horseback rides and cattle drives all at the edge of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. All of these accommodations (and about a gazillion more) can be found in a free guide compiled by Travel Oregon.com called The Official Oregon Trip Planner, where you'll find information on excellent wedding accommodations within every Oregon city.
