Ceremony Music
Depending on the location of your wedding, you may or may not have the ability to play around with ceremonial music choices. If you are getting married at an indoor, religious location, ceremony music usually includes soft interludes by a hired live string quartet, church pianists or organists. This is also a time to bring in a singer that you would like to see featured during your ceremony. It might be a favorite aunt or well-known voice, but be sure to let them know their place and time in the ceremony by making them a part of the rehearsal dinner. If you are getting married in a less conventional spot, such as an outdoor location or non-denominational spot, then you will have a little more flexibility. You might want to swap "Here Comes the Bride" for a song that better reflects your personalities as a couple. Noise and music choice are not quite as restricted here as they might be in an indoor or religious location.
Time to Par-tay!
When it comes time for the reception, your music choices can range from a live jazz band to a disco-playing DJ. This is the time where you need to sit down with your music choices and really discuss the type of tunes you would like to see featured at your reception. If you are opposed to the Chicken Dance, then let them know. And if Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" is a necessity, then be sure they have it on hand. Don't set yourself up for disappointment by skipping over the music necessities for your big day.A few Ohio music choices include:
