Do you enjoy glitz and glamour, bright lights, magic shows and headline entertainment? When people think of a Las Vegas honeymoon, they often think of heart-shaped beds, mirrored ceilings, velvet walls and casinos. However, this exciting city also offers luxurious, sedate accommodations, plus gourmet meals, designer shopping, and world-famous shows.

Everything in Las Vegas is done in a big way. Seventeen of the 20 largest hotels in the world are in Las Vegas. Many of these are a world unto themselves. The 30-story MGM Grand, for instance, overlooks the famous Las Vegas strip and offers 5,044 rooms; some with custom marble baths, steam rooms, and whirlpools.

Besides lavish rooms and suites, Las Vegas hotels offer a feast for the senses. Including elegant cuisine by internationally famous chefs, nightlife where you can dance to the hottest music or cuddle in a lounge sipping champagne, and designer shopping. Suits by Armani, handbags by Gucci and Prada and dresses by Dior are all available in Las Vegas' large hotel boutiques.

If you are looking for a unique way to enjoy the bright lights of Las Vegas, consider taking a night flight over the world-famous Strip. Breathtaking helicopter tours are available over the Strip and the downtown area called Glitter Gulch.

While you can splurge on a luxury suite or a headlining show, Las Vegas also offers a lot of free entertainment. At the Tropicana, you will find acrobats, aerialists, singers and dancers in a free show that is held beneath the arc of the hotel's famous yellow and green Tiffany glass ceiling.

At the Bellagio Hotel, see spectacular fountains. These fountains are world-famous and often photographed. They combine the use of music, water and light to fascinate on-lookers. The fountains take on a life of their own, performing to Broadway hits or other classics, with shows every 15 minutes or on the half-hour; depending upon the time of year.

Another free experience at The Bellagio is its conservatory, created by a team of 100 horticulturalists; it features elegant, elaborate arrangements of plants and flowers in its bright, airy atrium.

The M&M candies museum is also free. It features a 3-D movie theater, a wall of M&M's in every color that the company makes and the M&M Racing Team exhibit. In the exhibit, there is a replica of #38, the M&M's sponsored racecar currently driven by Elliott Sadler in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.

The Flamingo is one of the original Las Vegas hotels. A tropical island habitat has been set up next to the pool area there, and is filled with lush foliage imported from around the world. Guests can take a stroll through the habitat, enjoying the winding walkways, streams and waterfalls. This is home to more than 300 birds, including Chilean flamingos and African penguins.

The unique displays of city lights in Las Vegas are also free. Take an evening stroll down the Strip and enjoy the energy that is unlike anything you will experience in any other city of the world.

A Las Vegas honeymoon has something for everyone. Whether you opt for the heart shaped, velvet bed or a luxury suite, Las Vegas offers an exciting way to begin your new life together.
