Are you and your future spouse really kids at heart? Do you still believe in fairy tales? Do you see yourselves as Cinderella and her Prince Charming, or perhaps the Handsome Prince and Sleeping Beauty? Would you like to begin your new life together starring in your own fairy tale? If the answer is an enthusiastic yes, maybe you should consider a Disney honeymoon.

No matter whether you want to honeymoon on the East Coast or West Coast or cruise the Caribbean, Disney offers something for you. With theme parks in both California and Florida and a private Disney island in the Caribbean, there is sure to be a honeymoon destination tailor-made for you.

If you decide on a Disney honeymoon and want to book your tickets yourself, be sure, when you call for reservations, you let them know it is your honeymoon. The reservation agent will make a note in the computer and sometimes there are special amenities that go along with celebrating this special event in your life.

Do not be shy. Mention you are honeymooning to everyone. Tell them at hotel check-in, the restaurant and every place you go. You never know what might come your way as a honeymooning couple, from an upgraded room, a table in a restaurant, to a special bottle of wine or little gifts like free desserts and chocolates.

If you opt for a cruise, Disney cruises can be booked for 3, 4 or 7 days and include destinations such as the Bahamas, St. Thomas and Disney's private Caribbean island paradise, Castaway Cay. Most of the packages also include unlimited admission to theme parks and their special transportation system, plus water sports, sightseeing and duty free shopping.

If you thought Disney cruises were just for parents and children, think again! Disney cruise ships offer adult exclusive sections for dining, going to the spa or salon or just enjoying the sun from a lounge chair. There are unique activities for adults such as learning how Disney plans the perfect dinner, complete with creative ideas on creating delicious desserts and table arrangements. There is also a behind-the-scenes tour of the Walt Disney Theater with guest presenters from Broadway, film and television.

If you are a landlubber, there are Magic Kingdom honeymoon packages for any number of nights you wish at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. These include the services of a Disney Honeymoon Specialist who will call you 30 to 45 days prior to arrival to make sure and take care of all of your special needs.

Honeymoon packages include features like a romantic dinner at a specialty restaurant, complete with wine or champagne, a couples-only romantic spa treatment and professional honeymoon photography.

Although hotel accommodations at Disney theme parks can be expensive, September is "value season" when everything is less expansive. If the timing is right, this might be a great time to visit Disney and save a little money too.

So if you find yourself humming the theme song to The Little Mermaid and longing for a unique experience, let Mickey Mouse take you away on a Disney honeymoon for the fairy tale trip of your dreams.
