WeddingDNA keeps an eye on latest wedding trends. We frequently report on trends in our popular WeddingDNA Blog, but we also use the information to create new templates, designs and clipart. One of the ways we collect data is by asking you, our members for your opinion through online surveys.
How Much Are You Spending on Your Wedding?
Our latest survey got to the heart of the matter: Budget! Given the economic times, it's not surprising that 40% of our responses indicated they're spending about $10,000 on their weddings. What was surprising is the number of people who responded that they're spending more than $40,000 -- 8%! That's a significant number of people who are spending big dollars to make their special day extravagant. There were 20% in the $10-20k range, 15% in the $20-30k range and the final 6% reported other.
Which Graphic Color Options Would You Like?
In our latest survey, WeddingDNA members demonstrated they're a colorful bunch! We were wondering if you'd like to see flourishes, illustrations and clipart in multiple colors. The answer was "yes!"
Of the roughly 4,500 responses the top requested color, receiving 20% of the votes was Purple.
Following close behind were Pink
and Blue, both garnering 17% of the votes. The color Brown came in at 14%, Red
at 13% and finally Yellow at 8%.
We had so many responses, we'll be following up with a new survey about all the colors mentioned in the "other" category, stay tuned!
Are You Creating a Personal Wedding Website?
WeddingDNA's recent survey about using personal wedding websites to share information, track RSVPs, share directions, etc. yielded some interesting results.
With nearly 1,200 responses, we learned that 29% percent of couples are planning to use a Personal Wedding Website, while 45% still feel it's too high tech for them.
For the 22% that are "still thinking about" setting up their wedding website, and those with them already, we'd like to suggest that you browse our selection of Backgrounds

Top Wedding Themes
A recent survey of WeddingDNA visitors revealed that thematic weddings are extremely popular. When the question "What Wedding Theme Appeals Most?" was posted, nearly 7,500 visitors responded! Here are the results:
Victorian Themed -- 22%
Fairytale Princess -- 21%
Beach Themed -- 19%
Celtic Themed -- 10%
Western/Country -- 9%
Green/Eco-Conscious -- 7%
Gothic/Medieval -- 5%
